Montana Farm Bureau Long Range Strategic Plan
Montana Farm Bureau Federation completed a long range strategic plan during 2019. The plan outlines our Mission, Vision, organizational pillars and goals pertaining to those pillars. You can view our Strategic Plan by clicking this link.
The Montana Farm Bureau Federation represents agriculture producers like you as a strong voice in Helena, in Washington, and around the world. We’re an independent, non-governmental, voluntary organization. That means we’re non-partisan, non-sectarian and “non-secret” in everything we do. We’re the state’s largest agriculture association—and a tireless advocate for Montana agriculture.
Our only concern? Representing Montana issues in the best interests of Montana farmers and ranchers. That’s why it’s our members who make final decisions regarding our policy direction on issues such as property rights, water quality, water rights, taxes, government regulations, use of public lands, the environment and many others. We only bring forward what you ask us to.
Because together, we’re stronger. Our efforts carry more weight—and we accomplish united what we could never hope to bring about alone.
Our History
The Montana Farm Bureau and the American Farm Bureau Federation were originally created in 1919 to making the business of farming and ranching more profitable—and to make Montana a better place to live. Since then we’ve worked hard to do exactly that.
We are in our 100th year, and as we celebrate our Centennial we’re not showing any signs of stopping. Find out why now is a better time than ever to become a member.
Both then and now:
We pledge to:
- Reinforce and strengthen our member county Farm Bureaus;
- Support the free enterprise system and protect individual freedom and opportunity;
- Promote, protect and represent the business, economic, social and educational interests of our farmer/rancher members and their communities; and
- Enhance both the reputation and the viability of the agricultural industry in Montana.
