Senator Brian Hoven, SD 13 and Representative Wendy McKamey, HD 19, both from Great Falls, have received a Montana Farm Bureau Golden Windmill Award. The award was presented to the legislators by Cascade County Farm Bureau members on May 24. The Golden Windmill Award is presented to legislators who scored in the highest percentages on the MFBF Report Card, served on important committees, and were active advocates for Montana agriculture.
“Farm Bureau appreciates these legislators’ commitment to agriculture,” said Montana Farm Bureau Executive Director John Youngberg. “Their voting records show they can cross the aisle to work on legislation beneficial to farmers and ranchers. This award reflects more than just a voting record. The award indicates a willingness to work with agricultural people on a variety of issues, take leadership in committees, and work in the halls of the Capitol. Farm Bureau thanks Senator Hoven and Representative McKamey for their hard work and time dedicated to agriculture.”
