The Montana Farm Bureau Federation recently released its first-ever Impact Report for the year 2024. The purpose of this report is to efficiently communicate the outcomes and impact of Montana Farm Bureau’s efforts and how they’ve made a difference for agriculture and rural communities.

“When speaking about Farm Bureau to those outside of our community,” says Senior Director of Organization, Sue Ann Streufert, “it can be difficult to explain all that we do. This document will serve as a resource for both staff and members to share all the ways Farm Bureau is involved from legislation, to events, to community building, and much more.”

Featuring a letter from the Federation’s President, Cyndi Johnson, a year’s worth of local, state, and national events, education and leadership programs, grassroots advocacy, rural improvement initiatives, legislative efforts, and other organizational endeavors, the document is 16 total pages long. “It’s helpful to have a document that sums up the efforts of Montana Farm Bureau,” details Montana State University Collegiate Young Farmers and Ranchers President, Cody Johannes, “when welcoming new members, it can be hard to explain all the parts of the organization on your own. With the new Impact Report, we can just text or print them a copy and they can easily understand the value of Farm Bureau and what areas of involvement pique their interest, so we can better serve them.”

The Impact Report is also a great way to reflect on the progress that Montana Farm Bureau continues to make, annually, “It’s pretty awesome to see what all this organization has achieved. To look back at all the progress and agricultural advocacy in our state and beyond is humbling,” states Front Range Counties member, Klayton Lohr, “You get to see the parts of Farm Bureau that you’ve been involved in and feel like you’re a part of something bigger than yourself.”
