BOZEMAN—Representative Alan Redfield (HD-59) from Livingston received the Friend of Farm Bureau Award during Montana Farm Bureau’s Summer Conference June 11-13 in Bozeman. This award is given to the representative who had the highest overall scores on MFBF’s legislative scorecard and who demonstrated their support of Montana agriculture through their voting record, bill sponsorship and leadership with various committees.
In his final term as a member of the House of Representatives, Alan Redfield wasted no time getting to work. As the chairman of the House Taxation Committee and a member of the House Agriculture Committee he carried a heavy load during the 66th Legislature. As a rancher, Rep. Redfield was a key vote and advocate on all issues related to agriculture and rural Montana.
“Representative Redfield did an excellent job understanding agriculture and the legislation that affects it,” said MFBF President Hans McPherson. “Representative Redfield worked hard to defend agriculture this session and his efforts haven’t gone unnoticed. We thank him for his many years of service and wish him the very best in his future endeavors.”Want more news on this topic?
