MISSOULA--The Montana Farm Bureau Federation is pleased to let its members know that if they are unable to attend their annual convention November 8-11 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Missoula, they’ll be able to stay informed by tuning into their local radio station. Aaron Flint, host of the state-wide talk show “Voices of Montana” will be broadcasting his program “live” from the convention on Monday, November 9 from 9 a.m.-10 a.m. and the Northern Ag Network’s Russell Nemetz will also be at the convention broadcasting his radio and television programs.
Some of the topics to be covered include: “Don’t Cap Our Future” the new campaign by Farm Bureau to send a message to U.S. Senators that climate change legislation is bad; “Getting Pro-Active Against Negative Animal Activism” an effort by Farm Bureau to help educate everyone about the mistruths being spread by groups like PETA and the Humane Society of the United States and movies like Food, Inc, etc; and “Estate Taxes and Passing the Farm/Ranch to the Next Generation” a new project by the Montana Farm Bureau Federation’s Young Farmer and Rancher Committee bringing attention to Congress the burdens of estate taxes, capital gains, etc. in passing the operation to the next generation or trying to become a new farmer and rancher.
